The Legalsense update of March 2023 has version number 23.03 and includes mostly behind-the-scenes changes except for the changes listed below:
- A column 'billing supervisor' is added to the payments email.
- In 'Settings' - 'Custom fields,' the option to centrally add custom fields for 'User' and include these in the Excel export - has been added to the existing possibilities to add custom fields for 'Client,' 'Matter,' and 'Contact.’ These fields can no longer be managed under 'User' - 'Extra fields'. By editing the user, applicable values for a user can be added.
Because of this migration from 'User' to 'Settings' the field with 'Identifier' will be filled automatically. To change this you need the permission to manage the additional fields centrally. If you do not have the permission please contact our Support department. This article explains what the different parts - The price templates - 'Settings' - 'Lists' -' Price templates' - can now be cloned. An icon for this purpose has been added to the Price templates.
DPA
We have updated Annex 2 - Technical and Organizational Measures (TOMs)- of our default DPA on March 1st, 2023. The new appendix 2 reflects our ISO 27001:2013 certification and describes our TOMs in a more general - less technical - way for a better understanding of what we do to keep your data and the data of your clients safe.
Should you wish to receive the text of Annex 2 - version 23.03 to update your files, or should you want to sign a new DPA with Legalsense- please send an email to support@legalsense.nl
While all default Legalsense infrastructure, servers, and storage are hosted in the European Union, specifically in the Netherlands, the third-party email provider Postmark is not. We recommend all European customers change their Legalsense configuration to use Flowmailer instead of Postmark (see Release 22.05 - May 2022). For more information about how to switch to Flowmailer, please refer to this article: Change email provider from Postmark to Flowmailer.
