Matters, clients, and contacts
-
Legalsense offers a feature that allows you to link clients to one another. This can be done by filling in the 'Parent client' field on the client form. To visually indicate when a client is linked to another, we have added an icon
to both the client detail page and the client list page. A new column on the client list page has been added before the 'Date' column, displaying this icon. The related parent client will be displayed when you hover over the icon next to a child client. Clicking on the icon will redirect you to the parent client's detail page. The icon on the client detail page is next to the 'Parent client' field. Additionally, to show the related child clients on a parent client detail page, we have added a 'Child clients' field, complete with the icon.

Within the conflict check, we have the column 'Related contacts', which displays all the contacts related to the matter. This column now also includes related debtors of the matter.
- When you copy a matter, you can select time entries and disbursements that need to be moved to the copied matter. This option is changed from a checkbox selection to a filter selection to make it easier to select or deselect specific items.
Invoices
When the details of an invoice are exported to a LEDES format, it has the column BILLING_START_DATE. This column showed the date of the earliest time entry on the invoice. When an invoice only has disbursements on it, this column was blank, which can cause an issue when processing the LEDES file. We changed the column to display the earliest date of the time entries or the disbursements.
Exact Online
If your installation integrates with Exact Online, you have the status overview at 'Settings' - 'Exact Online'. This overview shows the last successful synchronisation, the administrator's email, and the number of elements in the queue. This overview is enhanced with the user details to clarify which user is linked in case re-authentication is needed.
Mobile App
Gentle reminder: A new version (2025.03.28) of our mobile app has been released in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (Android). This version brings some small performance, stability, and compatibility improvements.
We recommend upgrading to the latest version of our app. Support for earlier versions of the app will be removed in the June release (25.06). Please inform all users within your firm to update to the new version.
