'Clients' replaced by 'Matters' in main menu

The main menu item 'Clients' is replaced by 'Matters'. The matter list is more frequently visited than the client list, which makes this approach obvious. We do understand that it will take some getting used to. You can visit the client list by clicking on 'Matters' and choosing 'Clients' from the submenu.

Clients, matters, and contacts

The conflict check is enhanced by adding a new column 'Last time entry' in the matter table. This column displays the most recent date for all active time entries for a matter. 

Settings

A new field 'External name' for the display name of a function (job title) is added to functions. This allows for a more customizable approach to displaying a user's function on invoices, in invoice e-mails, or in Word documents. The field is available in each configured language. For example, when you create functions for 'Associate 1', 'Associate 2' and 'Associate 3' but externally refer only to 'Associate', this new field can help display the correct function name. APIv3

• Endpoint 'Payments' is added to APIv3 and supports all CRUD options. The available filters for this endpoint are: 'invoice', 'date (<, >, =, >=, <=), is_outstanding_correction (true/false), and 'is_active (all/ true/false). 
• Endpoint 'Chargeables' is added to APIv3 and supports all CRUD options. There are 15 available filters for this endpoint, which can be found in the API documentation itself. 

Email providers

When sending invoices to your clients via email through Legalsense, you can configure Legalsense to use either Spotler SendPro (formerly known as Flowmailer) or Active Campaign (formerly known as Postmark) as your email provider. Both providers have recently updated their names. For European customers, we advise Spotler SendPro (Flowmailer).
