Support for DOC Word templates ending
Legalsense no longer supports Microsoft Word files of the type Word 97/2003 with the .doc extension. This means that older versions of Word (older than 2007) with the .doc extension are no longer accepted. Generating documents based on .doc templates will not work anymore. When you are trying to add or generate a file with the .doc extension, Legalsense will provide a notification error showing you, you are using an incompatible Word file.
You can upload Word templates in your Legalsense installation by going to 'Settings' - 'Lists' - 'Word templates'. This is used, for example, to add an Engagement letter template. The list of templates will display what type you are using so you can easily identify .doc templates.
If you need any assistance with updating your Word templates to the .docx format, please reach out to Legalsense support.
Legalsense in German language
The Legalsense web application is now available in German. You can request that German be set as the default installation language, or you can change the language setting on a per-user basis through the user preferences. The languages currently available for Legalsense are English, Dutch, Swedish, and German. To select German in your user account preferences, it must first be added to your environment. Please contact Legalsense Support if you would like to enable German for your environment.
Invoices
The Tags functionality for invoices is extended by allowing editing of tags on the invoice view and invoice edit pages. Tags could already be managed from the invoice list.
Settings
The notification 'Performance overview email of previous week' is renamed to 'Performance overview email of previous 7 days'. This name matches the functionality better.
API
- New integration partners can no longer connect to APIv1 or APIv2, which are now in maintenance mode and no longer actively developed. All new integrations should be using APIv3. Already existing integrations will not be affected.
- The field 'billable_status' is added to the APIv3 logline endpoint. This field will return an abbreviation as a value. The internal API documentation provides an explanation of each abbreviation.
