Visma.net accounting integration
Firms that keep their books in Visma.net get a complete, automatic synchronization of accounting data between the two systems, covering debtors, matters, invoices, disbursements, payments, and trust account transactions. The integration is built and maintained by Legalsense, so it is set up and supported the same way as the rest. This integration can be set up by Legalsense support. See also Managing the integration with accounting software.
Features
Matters
Adding a product to a matter creates its budget in the same step. The Add submatter/product pop-up has a Create a budget for this product checkbox, ticked by default. Leave it ticked and the budget is created along with the product, for the product's expected amount, taken from its quantity, unit price and billing date. The checkbox appears when you add a product, not when you edit one.
Verbal time entry
Verbal time entry is faster and more reliable, especially for firms with many thousands of matters and a large number of users. Dictate a time entry in the Legalsense app or under Time → Write time, and review the draft entry before you approve it. Recognition of submatters and Recofa categories is switched off while we improve its accuracy. See also Using verbal time entry and Enabling verbal time entry.
Invoices
The invoice pages have the updated Legalsense styling: the invoice list, invoice detail, debtor overview, advance overview, trust accounting, and both task pages. The debtor overview groups invoices by age category or by supervisor with a subtotal per group, and you can sort the task list by column. On the task overview, bulk actions apply to the tasks you tick.
Across the application
Pop-ups can be dragged by their top edge, so you can move one aside, read the page behind it, and continue where you left off.
Other user-facing changes
LEDES98BI V2 exports include tax in the expense totals, as the format requires for every line type, fees and disbursements alike. Expense lines pass validation at the e-billing portal you send them to.
Improvements and reliability
The Legalsense app synchronizes more reliably: matters stay searchable and time entries stay in place between sessions, including after the app has been left alone for several days. In the Reporting tab, grouping by week runs Monday to Sunday. Update the app to version 2026.10.12 or later to pick these up.
Text with tall letters renders completely across the application, no more cut-off ‘g’! Thanks to the eagle-eyed customers who pointed this out. We also improved behavior in a few places you may run into:
- The email settings on a debtor stay in place when you change its contact person.
- Duplicating a time entry on the Per day view includes the selected other timekeepers.
- An invoice line that spans two tax rates renders UBL that validates against the EN 16931 rules.
- Settling an advance onto a credit invoice keeps that invoice viewable.
- Two people working the same task list can process tasks without getting in each other's way.
